KIEV, Aug. 31 – The State Environmental Investment Agency and Japan's Sumitomo Corporation have signed an agreement on the supply of 1,200 Toyota Prius hybrid cars for the Ukrainian police, reads.

According to a posting on the Sumitomo, the value of the contract is around $34 million, and the supplies of the cars will start in February 2013.

The project is being realized under a scheme of green investment as a part of the Kyoto protocol.
