KIEV, Aug. 31 – The issue of eurobonds worth $2 billion by Ukraine allowed there to be an $800 million payments surplus in July, the National Bank of Ukraine reported.
According to the report, the deficit of the current account in July came to $1.315 billion, while the surplus of the account of transactions with capital and financial transactions totaled $2.123 billion.
"On the whole, in seven months the balance of payment was close to zero," the report says, citing the head of the department for methodology, analysis and forecasting for the balance of payments at the NBU, Serhiy Nikolaichuk.
