KIEV, Aug. 28 – Mykola Ivanenko, the owner of the Luxexpress II Company, following the destruction of his business has asked the United States to provide him and his family with political asylum.
"After repeated threats from unknown people I asked the U.S. government to provide me and the members of my family with political asylum," he said at a press conference in Kiev on Tuesday.
Ivanenko said that his family is now abroad.
"I had to take my family from one third of the country. My family is abroad. I thank the U.S. government: they provided a visa to me, and they also provided me with security," Ivanenko said.
