KIEV, Aug. 23 – The administrative council of the state Individuals' Deposit Guarantee Fund has decided to increase the maximum guaranteed sum for refunding deposits in banks bankrupt from UAH 150,000 to UAH 200,000, the National Bank of Ukraine reported.

"Money of individuals is a basis for the resource base of the economy crediting. The decision to increase the guaranteed refunded sum from UAH 150,000 to UAH 200,000 was made aiming at strengthening trust of the public to banks and increasing the level of protection of the major part of depositors in the country," reads the report.
