KIEV, Aug. 16 – Luhanskteplovoz, the owner of which is Russia's Transmashholding, switched earlier this month from the four-day work week it has had since 2010 to five days.
The company says that stable growth in production (in January-July 2012 it grew by 20%) allowed switching to the five-day working week.
Over the period, Luhanskteplovoz produced 80 locomotive energy sections for Russian Railways (RZD), including two sections made for the new 2TE116UD diesel locomotive with an engine based on the GEVO V12 of U.S. company General Electric.
Diesel trains for Ukrzaliznytsia were also shipped.
