KIEV, Aug. 14 - The current cost of basic foodstuff in the consumer basket of Ukrainians has decreased by 10% compared to the beginning of 2012, said Serhiy Petrenko, deputy director of the economic development and agricultural market department at the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry.

"If to compare the cost of the consumer basket today and at the start of 2012, we will fix a 10% decrease, and the figure compared to the previous month declined by 3.3%," he said at a press conference in Kiev on Tuesday.
