KIEV, Aug. 10 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture has downgraded its forecast for sunflower oil production in Ukraine in the new marketing year (MY, September 2012-August 2013) by 0.6%, or by 23,000 tons, compared to the July estimates, to 3.882 million tons.
As reported on the USDA's Web site, the forecast for sunflower oil exports from Ukraine in the 2012/2013 MY remains unchanged at 3.5 million tons, which is 16.7% or 500,000 tons up from the current MY.
