Ukraine’s international reserves reported up by 2.6% in July

KIEV, Aug. 6 – Ukraine's international reserves grew by $761 million, or 2.6%, to $30.079 billion, in July, the National Bank of Ukraine reported.

"As of August 1, 2012, the volume of gold and currency reserves stood at $30.079 billion in the [dollar] equivalent: in one month reserves rose by $761 million… [and] forex reserves grew thanks to the sending of funds to Ukrainian government accounts from the placement of five-year eurobonds worth $2 billion," reads the report.

Despite a rise in July, forex reserves in January-July fell by 5.4%, or by $1.716 billion, from $31.795 billion.
