CHYRSKE, Kiev region, July 26 – The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers intends to provide funds in the 2013 state budget for the restoration of boat traffic on the River Dnipro, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said.
"Our dream is to restore the Dnipro as the most powerful transportation route... and not only the Dnipro, but the Southern Buh... to lessen the load on our roads and rail transport, and to ship bulk cargo by the cheapest transport, by river. We will clear the Dnipro channel anyway. And next year we will envisage the necessary funds," he said at a briefing at the opening of a transshipment terminal of Ukraine's grain producer Nibulon in Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky district, Kiev region.
