KIEV, July 19 – Elektrotrans JV, founded by Lviv-based Electron Concern and Germany-based TransTec Vetschau GmbH, will supply a low-floor narrow-gauge tram of its own design to Lviv's municipality.
As a posting on the official Web site of Lviv City Council reads, Elektrotrans JV won a municipal tender, having offered a low-floor 217-passenger (57 seats) tram at a price of UAH 11.91 million, and with an 18-year warranty on the tram body.
Among other bidders in the tender were Kiev electric transport plant (bidding UAH 16 million), Lviv locomotive repair plant (UAH 14.195), Tatra-Yug (UAH 12.75 million), and LAZ Commerce and Finance Company (UAH 12 million).
