KIEV, July 16 – Ukraine's national grid boosted electricity generation by 3.5% year-on-year in H1, to 100.136 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh), an Energy and Coal Industry Ministry source told Interfax-Ukraine.
Combined heat and power plants (CHP) increased electricity production by 5.8%, to 44.235 billion kWh, nuclear power plants raised it by 3%, to 45.313 billion kWh, municipally owned thermal power plants and block plants saw a 4.5% drop, to 4.206 billion kWh and hydropower plants cut output by 6.4%, to 6.119 billion kWh.
