KIEV, July 10 – Ukrainian companies who own by-product coke plants in Ukraine will buy all of the coal extracted by state-run coalmines by the end of the current year – over 1.5 million tons, easing the problem of selling coking coal, the State Property Agency announced.
The agreement on the purchase of all coking coal by the end of 2012 was reached during a meeting of July 5 headed by State Property Agency head Dmytro Kolesnikov. The meeting was called to settle the issue of sales of coking coal extracted by state-run coalmines on the domestic market.
