KIEV, July 6 - Ukraine has pledged to ship 2-2.5 million tons of corn to China annually as part of its obligations on a $3 billion loan from the Export-Import Bank of China, Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk said in an interview with Den newspaper.
The ministry and China's Eximbank signed the cooperation memorandum on June 28.
"The signed memorandum calls for the release of $3 billion in 2013 by the Chinese bank. The details of cooperation are now being agreed upon. In exchange, Ukraine will be obligated to supply 2-2.5 million tons of corn to China annually," Prysiazhniuk said.
