Sanitary concerns close 15 beaches in Crimea, Odessa and Mykolaiv
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, July 3 – The State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of Ukraine has shut 15 beaches in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Odessa and Mykolaiv regions and Kiev because the water quality and sanitary-technical conditions fail to meet standards, the Health Ministry reported.

As of July 2, four city beaches were shut in Yalta for reconstruction, and one was closed in the village of Uhlove of Bakhchysarai district. There are 569 beaches in Crimea but only 431 of them are working - the rest do not have authorization documents.
