KIEV, June 25 – The public council at the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving has said that an updated draft energy strategy of Ukraine for the period until 2030 drawn up by the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry is unacceptable.

The council at a meeting on June 22, 2012 decided to address the Ukrainian president asking not to allow the adoption of the document.

"The undated draft energy strategy is an attack on renewable energy and energy efficiency. The document is not in line with Ukrainian law and Ukraine's liabilities to the Energy Community," Andriy Konechnekov, who headed the meeting, said.
