SIMFEROPOL, June 18 – Some 1.095 million tourists have come to Crimea for vacations as of June 18, 8% up on the same period in 2011.
According to the main information policy department of the Crimean government, the largest number of tourists came to Sudak and Feodosia, where the number of tourists increased by 20% and 15% respectively. In Alushta and Yevpatoria this figure rose by 7% and 5% respectively. At the same time, in Yalta the number of tourists remained at the level of last year.
Crimea Prime Minister Anatoliy Mohyliov at a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Crimea on Monday said the increase in the number of tourists coming to Crimea would positively influence the replenishment of local budgets.
