KIEV, June 14 – The 64th World Newspaper Congress and the 19th World Editors Forum will take place in Kiev on September 2-5.

"The task of this congress is to tell the Ukrainian government that it's necessary to treat the press in the same way as any other economic branch. I hope that this position will be heard. I hope that it will help the Ukrainian media develop in a different way after the congress is held - develop more consciously and develop economically," President of the United Media Holding Group (UMH Group) Boris Lozhkin said at a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine news agency in Kiev on Thursday.

Lozhkin said that "WAN-IFRA relies on the development of the Ukrainian media market - our market is relatively small, difficult, but very promising."
