KIEV, June 13 – The National Bank of Ukraine sold $45 million more than it bought on the interbank currency market in May, while in April and March the situation was reverse: purchases exceeded sales by $303.5 million and $152.5 million.
"The NBU in May bought and sold foreign currency. The bank sold $45 million more," reads a report of the central bank on Wednesday.
The bank said that in May 2012 the total supply of foreign currency on cashless transactions exceeded demand by almost $135 million.
