KIEV, June 5 - The National Bank of Ukraine is planning to gradually switch to a policy of a flexible currency exchange rates, said Olena Scherbakova, director of the general department for monetary and credit policy at the NBU.
"We have stated that we will gradually move to a flexible currency exchange rate, by means of the adaptation of the entire financial system. Nobody is going to make sudden moves," she told reporters on Tuesday.
At the same time, Scherbakova said the NBU has enough reserves to smooth currency exchange rate fluctuations if required.
