KIEV, May 15 – The growth of foreign direct investment in Ukraine in the form of equity capital was $846.9 million in Q1, 2.1% over same period in 2011, according to the State Statistics Service.

In the first quarter of 2012, foreign investors injected $885.1 million into the Ukrainian economy, while withdrawing $198.9 million. In the first quarter of 2011 these indicators were $925.7 million and $260.7 million respectively, the statistics service said on Tuesday.
