We won’t ‘blindly’ meet IMF demands, social policy minister says
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, May 7 – The Ukrainian government does not plan to implement the instructions of the International Monetary Fund on the increase of housing utility tariffs for households “blindly” so that the country might obtain a next tranche from the fund, Social Policy Minister Serhiy Tyhypko has said.

“If to be silly and implement the instructions blindly, despite everything, one could earn money, but create problems for people,” he said in an interview with the Fifth TV Channel.
