KIEV, April 27 – The Association of Alternative Fuel and Energy Market Participants has called on the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine to sustain the technical standards of engine biofuel until national standards for these goods are developed.

"If technical standards for biofuel are cancelled, the government's plans to reduce the dependence of the fuel market on foreign fuel, as well as reanimate the stagnant alcohol industry would remain just a dream. Many companies, which legally produce biofuel at a high technological level, will have to close," APEU President Vitaliy Daviy said at the UBF-2012 forum in Kiev.
