LONDON, April 23 – Ukrainian metallurgy is the most dependent on exports in the world, however, vertical integration, increasing the share of high value-added production and increasing energy efficiency could improve the prospects for its development, senior metallurgy policy adviser at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Christopher Beauman said.
"There is no other country so dependent on steel exports for its development. Export dependence means significant shocks. In addition, a high share of semi-finished products makes the situation more complicated," he said.
