KIEV, April 6 – Inflation in Ukraine accelerated to 0.3% in March, while over the three previous months it stood at 0.2%, the State Statistics Service reported.
According to the service, in annual terms inflation in March slowed to 1.9%, from 3% in February 2012, 3.7% in January 2012, and 4.2% in December 2011.
The service said that food and non-alcoholic drink prices on the consumer market in March compared to February rose by 0.2%. At the same time, the price of eggs grew most of all (11.5%). The price of poultry, fruits, fish, beef and macaroni was up by 0.9-0.3%. The price of milk, sugar, rice and butter declined by 2.2-1.1%. The price of vegetables, cheese, sunflower oil, pork and dairy products fell by 0.9-0.2%.
