KIEV, April 3 – The ratio of remittances to Ukraine by Ukrainians working abroad to Ukraine's GDP in 2011 grew by 0.1 percentage notches compared to 2010, to 4.3%, the National Bank of Ukraine reported.

"In 2011, remittances from abroad grew by 19.7%, to $7 billion. The sum is almost equal to the sum of foreign direct investment sent to Ukraine ($7.2 billion). Remittances in 2011 were the largest in the past five years - $800 million more than in 2008," reads the report.
