KIEV, March 28 – The Emergencies Ministry has proposed that the government oblige the municipally-owned Kiev Metropoliten enterprise to urgently make its facilities safe from fire, the ministry reported on Tuesday.

Emergencies Minister Viktor Baloha said in a letter to the government that the ministry is concerned about the state of fire safety in Kiev Metro.

The minister said that the enterprise was failing to implement several programs of the city state administration aimed at enhancing fire safety.
