KIEV, March 23 – The European Union supports Ukraine's efforts to move towards forming a market oriented price for its gas and is willing to participate in trilateral discussions on upgrading the Ukrainian gas transportation system, EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule said during a meeting with Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Minister Yuriy Boyko in Brussels late on Thursday.

"Fule also mentioned the EU's support for Ukrainian efforts to move towards a market oriented price for its gas, in line with the requirements of the IMF, and declared the willingness of the EU to participate in trilateral discussions regarding the modernization of the Ukrainian gas transit system," the statement reads.
