KIEV, March 16 – Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council became a center for the fight against corruption on Friday, according to Andriy Kliuyev, the secretary of the national council.

"Starting from today, the NSDC is becoming our country's center for the fight against corruption, a shameful phenomenon in our society," he said at a briefing in Kiev on Friday.

Kliuyev said that the substantial corruption in Ukraine was an obstacle to democratic transformations and the implementation of the reforms initiated by the president of Ukraine.
