KIEV, March 15 – President Viktor Yanukovych has instructed Prime Minister Mykola Azarov to draw up and submit to Parliament bills on amendments to the national budget for 2012 aimed at the realization of social policy to improve the standard of living.

A relevant instruction was posted on the president's official Web site on Thursday.

The head of state ordered to the recalculation of pensions granted and re-calculated before 2008, from May 1, 2012, using the average wage index for one insured person over 2007 minus insurance contributions, as well as increase to the level of current minimum wage state aid to low-income people able to work that are taking care of mentally disabled people.
