KIEV, March 7 – The Ukrainian government is considering cutting the price of 200,000 tons of fuel and 250,000 tons of ammonium nitrate for farmers for the spring sowing campaign, Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk said.
"The prime minister ordered the Fuel and Coal Industry Ministry jointly with the Finance Ministry to find ways to cut the cost of 140,000 tons of diesel fuel and 60,000 tons of petrol by at least 10%. In addition, Mykola Azarov raised the question of a possible cut in the cost of 250,000 tons of ammonium nitrate so farmers can buy it UAH 300-500 cheaper per ton," Prysiazhniuk said in an interview with the Uriadovy Kurier government newspaper published on Tuesday.
