KIEV, Feb. 21 – The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine has said unjustified pressure is being placed by the tax authorities on enterprises legally operating in Ukraine.
The Chamber said it intends to ask the government of Ukraine to take measures at the legislative level to protect the rights of taxpayers.
"The international business community we represent is sympathetic to the difficult financial situation in the country, which is caused by a number of factors, but it requires the termination of fiscal pressure on legitimate taxpayers, as this significantly affects the image of the country and prevents the attraction of new investment to Ukraine," said Chamber President Jorge Zukoski.
