KIEV, Feb. 20 - An audit by the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine has uncovered the inefficient use of national budget funds for nuclear and radiation safety activities in 2009-2011, the press service of the Accounting Chamber has said.

"An audit conducted by the Accounting Chamber to investigate the effectiveness of the use of national budget funds on nuclear and radiation safety measures in 2009-2011 showed that Ukraine has not established an integrated system for the physical protection of radiation hazardous facilities, the condition of this protection is ineffective, and the public has not been provided with reliable protection from radiation," reads a statement by the Chamber.
