KIEV, Feb. 21 - Parliament on Friday is set to debate a bill that may open the door for an initial public offering of the country’s natural gas transportation system, a senior lawmaker said Tuesday.

Oleksandr Yefremov, the head of the ruling Regions Party group in Parliament, said the bill is aimed at raising funds for modernization of the system that moves Russian gas to markets in Europe.
