KIEV, Feb. 9 - Ukraine's national oil and gas company Naftogaz Ukrainy's geological prospecting work last year resulted in a 28-million-ton increase in its reserves of standard fuel, 6.5% more than planned and almost 7% over the amount of reserves it had the year before, the company reported on Thursday.
The company's oil and gas producing outfits prospected at 65 fields and deposits in Ukraine during 2011.
The work resulted in the opening of four gas condensate deposits: Borove, Kuzmichivske, Barzakivske, and Kharkivske (Kharkiv region). The contours of 16 known strata at 12 deposits were expanded and 16 new strata were opened.
