KIEV, Jan. 30 – The debt of the Ukrainian population for housing and utility services grew by 1.4% in December compared to November and amounted to UAH 11.978 billion, the State Statistics Service has said.
According to the service, an increase in the debt was observed in all regions of the country. The average term of the public's debt was 3.9 months.
According to the report, in 2011 Ukrainians paid UAH 35.8 billion, or 97.8% of the sum, for housing and utility services. The highest levels of payment were recorded in Odessa, Zakarpattia, Lviv, and Khmelnytsky regions (100.7-102.8%), and the lowest in Crimea, Dnipropetrovsk, and Luhansk regions (94.1-95.3%).
