DAVOS, Switzerland, Jan. 30 - Russia's Lukoil is maintaining its Odessa Oil Refinery in working order, awaiting a decision from the Ukrainian authorities on improving the economics of oil refining in order to re-launch the refinery, Lukoil President Vagit Alekperov told journalists in Davos on the sidelines of the eighth Ukrainian lunch organized by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.
"If several decisions are adopted today in connection with the economic situation in oil refining, then of course we will launch the refinery. Today the refinery is in working condition - now we are observing the situation, the refining margin, the situation occurring in Ukraine on the retail market," Alekperov said. The refinery's operations were halted due to the economic situation with oil refining on Ukraine's market, he said.
