KIEV, Jan. 23 – The growth of gross domestic product in Ukraine slowed to 4.2% in Q4 from 6.6% in the third quarter of 2011, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.

"Despite the year-over-year slowdown of the GDP growth in the fourth quarter against the third quarter (from 6.6% to 4.2%), GDP growth over the whole of 2011 remained at a relatively high level (about 5% according to the central bank's estimates," reads a report by the NBU's economic analysis and forecasting department.
