KIEV, Jan. 10 – Ukraine in the second half of the 2011/12 agricultural year (January-June) could export 12.5-13 million tons of grain crops, according to Serhiy Stoyanov, the director general of the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation.
According to the UAC, if present demand for Ukrainian grain remains at the present level, Ukraine will be able to export around 10 million tons of corn and two or two-and-a-half million tons of wheat in the second half of the 2011/12 agricultural year. The possible exports of barley could reach 500,000 tons.
