MOSCOW, Sept. 14 - New York's Southern District Court has turned down a suit filed by Norway's Telenor East Invest against Russia's Alfa Group, a source close to the process told Interfax-Ukraine.

The Norwegian side has asked the court to prevent Alfa Group structures - Eco Telecom Limited, Eco Holdings Limited, CTF Holdings Limited and Crown Finance Foundation, which own 32.9% of voting shares in Vimpelcom - from voting on the purchase of Ukrainian Radio Systems (URS) at a repeat Vimpelcom extraordinary shareholders' meeting on September 14.
