KIEV, Dec. 28 – Austrian-based Activ Solar has completed the final, fifth 20 megawatt, phase of the Perove solar power plant, bringing its capacity to 100 megawatts.
The PV modules cover an area of over 200 hectares and will produce 132.5 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year. Activ Solar says the park will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 105,000 tons per year.
Installed capacity at the Perove plant can in sunlight produce the necessary amount of electricity required by Simferopol during maximum use, which will increase the reliability and quality of supply for the entire region.
