KIEV, Dec. 27 - The BYT-Batkivschyna faction doubts that a successful resolution of the gas issue will be reached before the Russian presidential elections.

"Ukraine is being completely isolated not just by the European Union. We still can't find common ground with Russia. Despite ceremonial communiques by the authorities that we have been signing agreements with Russia in October, November and December, there have still not been any [agreements], and I doubt that there will be anything in this regard before the end of the Russian presidential elections," Ukrainian MP Andriy Pavlovsky (BYT-Batkivschyna faction) said at a press conference in Kiev on Tuesday.
