KIEV, Dec. 27 – The warm weather spell in December has had a positive impact on winter grain crops in Ukraine, according to Tetiana Adamenko, the head of the agrarian meteorology department at the Ukrainian Weather Center.

"The weather conditions in December are favorable for the winter crops. If late in November we said that the situation was so difficult that the warm weather could hardly change the situation, then, according to our information, there are winter grain sprouts on the areas in some regions where they had not been seen earlier," she said.
