KIEV, Dec. 27 – Up to 12% of food bought by city and town residents in Ukraine for the New Year table is not used and goes to waste, the AgriSurvey agency of the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club (UCAB) reported.

In monetary terms, on average a standard family consisting of four adults and two children throws UAH 90 from the holiday table. Expenses for city and town residents amounts to some UAH 470 million, reads a press release spread after the poll was conducted.
