MOSCOW, Dec. 23 - Ukraine will pump less gas due to construction of the Nord Stream and South Stream gas pipelines, President Viktor Yanukovych said in an interview with the newspaper Izvestiya published on Friday.

"The first phase of Nord Stream has already been built. That means that we will lose gas flow volumes. Construction of South Stream has begun. The first facility - a gas storage facility - has already been commissioned in Serbia. Based on that, Ukraine's gas transport system will lose value in economic and political terms," Yanukovych said.
