KIEV, Dec. 12 - Ukraine imported $4.8 billion worth of petroleum products in January-November, Energy and Coal Industry Ministry head Vadym Zaporozhchenko said on Monday.
There was a significant growth in diesel fuel imports, 90% of which came from the Customs Union countries, he said.
The ministry is concerned by growing imports of ready-made petroleum products and declining oil refining within Ukraine. "This all affects the balance of payments, inflation. We can import $10 billion, but where to get that money within the country?" Zaporozhchenko said.
