KHARKIV, Dec. 1 – Kharkiv’s Malyshev Plant and Morozov Kharkiv design and engineering bureau, under a contract with Iraq to supply armored vehicles, are planning to ship the second batch of 34 vehicles to the customer in December, said Mykola Belov, acting Malyshev Plant director general.
"The first batch of 26 vehicles [BTR-4s, shipped to Iraq in April 2011] was a pilot one, and the Morozov bureau assembled them at their facilities. It will be a first batch of mass assembly for the plant. It consists of 18 vehicles: 14 battle vehicles and four vehicles for commanders. Another 14 specialized vehicles will be made by Morozov bureau," Belov told the press.
