MOSCOW, Dec. 1 - Ukraine's Finance Ministry has extended an agreement with VTB Capital on the provision of a $2 billion credit for Ukraine by six months, the ministry said in a statement.
The agreement was originally signed on June 3, 2010.
"Despite a worsening global macroeconomic situation and conditions on world financial markets, which have caused loan funds for Ukraine to become substantially more expensive and have restricted its access to capital markets; and also thanks to the efforts of participants in negotiations with Russian partners, the credit was extended on the preliminary financial terms," the statement said.
