KIEV, Nov. 29 – Kharkiv’s Turboatom in 2012 will supply equipment to Donbassenergo (Horlivka, Donetsk region) to upgrade unit six of Starobeshivska thermal power plant.

Under the contract, the cost of which is not disclosed, Turboatom will upgrade a K-200-130-1 200 megawatt steam turbine made by Leningrad Metal Plant (Russia).

After the upgrade, the capacity of the turbine will grow by eight megawatts and the efficiency coefficient will increase to 88%. The upgrade will allow a cut in the consumption of conventional fuel by 26.1 grams per kilowatt-hour.
