KIEV, Nov. 29 – Liliya Frolova, a state prosecutor in the Russian gas supply contract case against former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, has said that the defendant's appeal will undergo preliminarily consideration in a court of appeals in Kiev on December 1 and that the consideration of the appeal in essence will start on December 13.
"A session on the consideration of the appeal against the criminal case opened against defendant Tymoshenko will be held on December 13, as was decided by the trial court, and on December 1, an appellate court will hold a session on the preliminary consideration of the criminal case, i.e. the preliminary consideration of the case," she told journalists in Kiev on Tuesday, while commenting on a statement by the head of Tymoshenko's defense team, Serhiy Vlasenko, that the consideration of the appeal has been postponed.
