KIEV, Nov. 25 – Ukraine dropped to 23rd position from 17th in the list of EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) countries most attractive for the development of the retail business, according to a report by CBRE international consulting.
According to the report, 13% of retailers from 178 leading retail chains in the EMEA region said they are ready to develop on the Ukrainian market next year, while in 2011 the indicator was 16%.
According to the report, in 2012 retailers will focus on expansion plans as in 2011, but in markets in which they already have a presence. Around 30% of retailers are targeting new markets in 2012.
